As the founder and CEO of Ventures International Group, Olavs has three decades of international business experience, with considerable Asia-specific experience, and extensive connections across the Asia Pacific region. He is an accomplished entrepreneur, having previously founded and served as CEO of his own software and consulting services businesses. After senior management roles with major US global IT vendors, Olavs has run his own software, services and Internet-related companies in Australia and Asia for the past 20+ years, primarily representing various US and European technology vendors in the Asia Pacific region. Olavs is well-versed in establishing, managing and supporting channel partners throughout Asia, Europe and Australia. He has a passion for working with early stage and growth stage companies, providing them with business development assistance, mentoring, strategic advisory services, and assistance with capital raising.

 

Olavs also has considerable experience and a successful track record in Capital Raising and Investment Funding. This is now his main area of focus and specialisation. He is well-versed in understanding the needs and thinking of both Investors and Investee Companies, as well as managing complex investment transactions, and is therefore able to effectively facilitate the investment process. As an Australian expat, he is based in Singapore, with frequent travel across the region, including regular visits to Australia to service the needs of the company’s Australian clients and investors.

SYNOPSIS

Phil is an Australian businessman who has worked in a number of capacities with companies seeking to expand their businesses offshore since the early 1990’s. After completing his undergraduate degree from the University of Sydney, he spent 20 years working with IBM and Microsoft in various management positions in Australia and in Asia.

 

He has spent the last 12 years investing, mentoring and managing new ventures in the UK, Asia Pacific, Australia and North America. He was engaged by the Australian Government as a commercialization advisor in 2007 till 2011.

 

Phil has a portfolio of companies and interests across biotech and health, clean technologies, telecommunication / information technologies and social network /community development industries. He has assisted a number of these companies with pivots, export development, fund raising as well as trade sales. He has been a member of a number of early stage investment networks in Australia, a CEO of a boutique Bio-venture fund (National Health Sciences Centre), General Manager of a publishing company and chair of an eye hospital. Phil has been an international partner for UCLA’s Global Access Program and has a comprehensive network of investors in the US and Asia.

Lucien has more than 20 years’ experience as an Investment Banking and Private Equity professional (and is also a partner at Kyrin Capital, a private equity firm in Hong Kong). He has previously worked in Europe for KPMG Corporate Finance (Mergers & Acquisitions), and with ABN AMRO Investment Banking (as a Director).  Also as an Investment Director with KRC Capital (Family Office & Private Equity Fund). He is now based in Hong Kong and Singapore, focusing on Europe-Asia Private Equity investments.

As a Dutch expat with strong European connections, Lucien is able to effectively assist clients (PE firms, entrepreneurs, corporates and HNWI’s in the Netherlands and Europe) to engage in Fund Raising or M&A transactions through Singapore or Hong Kong. He can also assist Asia-based clients with Fund Raising or M&A transactions in the Netherlands and across Europe.

He holds a Finance Master Degree in Business Administration from Maastricht University in the Netherlands.

SYNOPSIS

Jeremy Brown has been involved in all aspects of growing technology-based businesses across three continents for over 25 years. He has held senior management roles with venture-backed organizations including Alphablox and Symantec as well as several start-ups. Jeremy managed the process of building Symantec UK (a privately held company) from start-up to the point of acquisition by Symantec Corporation and led the successful integration of the two companies. He has managed sales and marketing initiatives across the spectrum from retail to enterprise, and has considerable experience with channel sales and development. Jeremy is involved in Asia Pacific due diligence research and has held multiple interim CEO positions as well as start-up advisory board membership. Jeremy holds a BSc in Management Science and an MSc in Operational Research and Computer Simulation from Warwick University, UK.
